As we approach the midpoint of 2024, we've already witnessed some incredible sneaker releases. Still, with half the year ahead of us, there are many more exciting drops in store for sneaker heads and flippers.
➡ P.S: In case you haven't checked them out yet, we've got several groups that can give you a competitive edge as a reseller within an exclusive community.
Let’s dive in to check out the most anticipated shoe drops of 2024, past and upcoming:
Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Dragon”
Released: Wednesday, January 24th, 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $160💵
We first saw a 'Year of the Dragon' Air Jordan in 2012 as part of an exclusive All-Star Weekend release. Twelve years later, the Chinese Zodiac cycle has restarted. Now, we are seeing a festive “YOTD” splash of color on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
With a dragon inspired upper and a red satin swoosh, this take of the AJ1 is completed with a unique gold-stitched Air Jordan logo featuring a dragon around the Jumpman.
The full set for the shoe comes with accessories - like lucky red Chinese New Year red envelopes - as well as a decorative hang tag.
Nike SB Dunk Low “Valentine’s Day”
Released: February 9th 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $125💵
Like other models in the Jordan line, the Dunk has been subject to a slight price increase. However, although it’s recently risen to a retail of $125 from a former $100, demand for the SB Dunk in particular has not slowed down.
The Nike SB line is no stranger to a Valentine’s Day palette. The 2020 “Strangelove” model, which still resells for around $1,000 on StockX, set the tone for subsequent releases to hold a price premium. The 2024 “Valentine’s Day” SB Dunk has the most masculine hues we’ve seen so far on this take compared to past releases. Pink and white have been replaced by burgundy and chocolate, making this more of an everyday wear pair.
Air Jordan 4 "Reimagined Bred"
Released: Saturday, February 17th 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $215💵
The OG sneakerheads are gonna love this one. For those who don’t know, the Jordan 4 made its debut in 1989, and has been the canvas for some of the most iconic Jordans ever released, including the “Thunder” and Eminem’s “Carhartt” colorways.
For the 35th anniversary of its debut, the “Reimagined Bred” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 is going back to its roots, resurrecting the original Nike Swoosh and Air badges on the heel in place of the Jumpman which is seen on most modern 4’s.
Modern leather takes place of the original nubuck in the 2024 take, which is essentially the only difference between this model and its 35 year old predecessor.
Cactus Plant Flea Market x Air Force 1 White/Black
Released: May 1 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $150💵
Streetwear pioneer Cynthia Lu’s CPFM has produced some of Nike’s greatest collaborative hits in recent years.
Although many of the modern takes like the CPFM Nike Air Flea 2 are outlandish and controversial, the brand is conservative with its iteration of the classic Air Force 1 low. We first saw their flair in the form of a white bubbled stitching of “Air” on the side on the AF1 in 2020, on solid black and white palettes.
2024 saw the first ever re-release of a Nike x CPFM collaboration with the Air Force 1 in both colors, which apart from a recently inflated retail price was a second chance at getting this drop firsthand.
Air Jordan 4 "Military Blue"
Released: Saturday, May 4th 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $215💵
Originally set to release alongside the “Reimagined Bred” 4, the “Military Blue” will have fans of the 4 waiting a few months before they can get their feet in them.
Unlike the 2012 release of the Military Blue, which featured a jumpman on the heel, the 2024 take is a twin of the original, featuring the Nike Swoosh and Air badge in its place - just like the “Reimagined Bred”.
Air Jordan 11 Low “Space Jam”
Released: Saturday, May 18th 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $190💵
Although historic colorways of the Air Jordan 11 are normally reserved for an end of the year drop, this re-release of the iconic “Space Jam” is due for spring.
It will have been nearly a decade since we last saw the Space Jam colorway resurface–the last drop was in December of 2016 in its high top form. Those who want the high top will still have to wait, but this low top 11, while not a classic silhouette, has its fanbase. Combined with an instantly recognizable colorway, this one is sure to fly fast off the shelves.
The 2024 Space Jam 11 Low is available for the whole family, with options for Men’s, Gradeschool, Preschool, and even Toddler sizes.
J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio”
Release Date: May 22, 2024🗓️
Retail price: $250💵
Past collaboration with reggaeton superstar J Balvin and Nike resulted in one of the most coveted Jordan 3’s in recent years, the Medellin sunset, which was pays tribute to the city that the artist is from.
One noteworthy characteristic of this shoe is the sunset hued heel, and it’s this hot trait that the newest collab, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio” carries that is also generating similar hype.
This time, the sunset hue is set on a black background making for far more pop, and with the back story of the shoe being a heartwarming recognition of Balvin’s girlfriend, Valentina Ferrer and her city Rio, the shoe is sure to fly off of shelves.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Latte”
Release date: Wednesday, May 29th, 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $180💵
The first time we saw a brown, white and black Jordan, we saw it on the OG 1 High with a backwards check in 2019. This model, by Travis Scott, ended up being one of the most coveted Jordans of all time. Not long after its release resale prices were as high as $2000.
Since then, we have seen the 2020 “Mocha” which was almost a replica of the TS color scheme. The only difference between the two is the "Mocha" black toe in place of the uniform brown that Scott’s model is suited with.
2024 brings us a long awaited resurgence of this earthy hue with a “Latte” colorway that shares the same color arrangement as the Mocha, the only difference being a lighter brown.
Naruto Shippuden / Minato Namikaze x Crocs Classic Clog
Release Date: June 6, 2024🗓️
Retail price: $70💵
One piece of footwear that has seen an unexpected and glorious comeback in recent years has been Crocs, and it seems more people are converting to loving them rather than hating them, especially in the streetwear and sneakerhead world.
While Crocs is dropping many brand collaborations this year, the Naruto themed Shippuden and Minato Crocs Classic Clog pack has the highest demand, so it will likely be profitable if you choose to flip these.
The pairs are decorated with bold color palettes which are based off of the respective anime characters that are almost impossible to ignore.
Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Jordan 4 RM “Pro Green”
Release date: July 3rd 2024🗓️
Retail price: $150💵
Pro BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is a street culture icon and a Jordan brand athlete, so it’s fitting that one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year is with him.
This time around, Sylvester’s very own lightweight version of the Air Jordan 4, the RM, is dropping in a clean forest green colorway which is officially known as “Pro Green”.
One of the most recognizable and unique characteristics of this pair of kicks is the inscription of “Bike Air” rather than “Nike Air”, something that is unique only to collaborations with Nigel Sylvester.
Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro Olympic Gold Medal (2024)
Release date: August 5th 2024🗓️
Retail price: $190💵
Kobe’s legacy continues in his iconic footwear, the Protro line from Nike Zoom. The Kobe 4 Protro is one of the more desirable models, and in 2024, we’re seeing the return of one of the most historically significant colorways, the Olympic Gold Medal.
Adorned in shimmering gold on the heel, ankle, tongue and toebox, this head-turning Protro is contrasted with clean white and a red and blue check and laces.
This pair will only be available in men’s sizes.
Nike A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 4 “Phantom”
Release Date: September 19, 2024🗓️
Retail price: $250💵
White shoes have become a fashion staple and remain in constant rotation for all streetwear lovers and sneakerheads alike, and the latest collab between Paris-based design house A Ma Maniére caters towards this pallate with a clean “Phantom” colorway of the Air Jorda 4.
The burgundy accents decorating the off-white sole offer a subtle and classy contrast to the light grey “phantom” upper.
As per all past A Ma Maniére Nike collaborations, the materials are top notch and a loyal fanbase to the brand will be going after these in hordes.
Nike Air Jordan 1 Black Toe “Reimagined”
Release Date: October 18, 2024🗓️
Retail price: $180💵
One of the most historic moments in the Jordan brand’s history was the day that Michael Jordan was banned from wearing the iconic Air Jordan 1’s as he had been because the colors were in violation of NBA uniform rules–the day was October 18th, 1984.
The Air Jordan 1 Black Toe: Reimagined will release on the 40th anniversary of the occasion, paying tribute with a classic Chicago Bulls red, black and white colorway and a throwback font of “Air Jordan” on the outer ankle of each pair that makes the pair a true standout and perhaps the most anticipated sneaker of the year.
Nike Air Jordan 4 “Fear”
Release date: November 9, 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $215💵
The Air Jordan 4 is the canvas for some of the most iconic Jordan colorways ever released, including the “Carhartt” and “Black Cement” pairs. A more recent classic is the black, white and grey “Fear”, which we first saw in 2013 and remains highly valued on the aftermarket.
Fans of this pair are getting a second chance at buying them brand new during their 2024 return, and its design will make it nearly indistinguishable from the 2013 pair.
The Air Jordan 4 “Fear” will come out in full family sizing, including Toddler, Preschool, Grade School and Women’s.
Solefly x Air Jordan 12 "Baroque Brown"
Release date: TBA, Holiday Season 2024🗓️
Retail Price: $225💵
South Miami sneaker and streetwear boutique “Solefly” has a strong relationship with the Jordan brand, and this has resulted in some absolute heat which includes the highly coveted Air Jordan 1 x Solefly collaboration.
Jordan always has a special treat during the holiday season, and this time around, we are getting an exclusive pair of the Air Jordan 12 in a “Baroque Brown”, a collaboration with Solefly.
While Solefly has launched several retro Jordans, this will be the first time they release a Retro 12, making it a historic pair that both sneakerheads and resellers will flock to.
Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low “Pale Vanilla”
Release date: Originally Holiday season 2024, now pushed to Spring/Summer 2025🗓️
Retail Price: $150💵
Chart-topping rapper Travis Scott has become a name that is now associated with some of the most expensive and desirable Jordan collaborations, many of which, such as his first Jordan 1 High collab, command well over retail on the aftermarket.
For this holiday season, we are expecting another long awaited Travis Scott x Jordan 1 mix, this time, in a subtle yet eye catching “Pale Vanilla” which is marked by a boldly contrasting TS signature backwards swoosh on an off-white and tan upper.
A black outline on the tongue and sole completes the look and makes the model pop, so this one is sure to quickly end up on the aftermarket for comfortably above retail price.
What Will 2024 Hold for Sneaker Reselling?
In 2023, we saw quite a pullback in sneaker reselling, as interest shifted from NFTs, to sports and graphics cards as the year rolled on.
Also, with new reselling categories like watches emerging, the sneaker resale world may not be basking in the limelight it once was in. Still, some clean re-releases of classics are setting the tone to stimulate the nostalgia of OG sneakerheads and gain the attention of the younger generation.
