The Creation of Easy Algo
The man behind Easy Algo is Seth Collett (aka TraderX), a full-time professional trader since 2020. Back to Easy Algo, Seth partnered with CB. Crypto Banter offers a distribution network for Easy Algo’s services, and Easy Algo provides the tools and knowledge that Crypto Banter followers need to trade crypto effectively. This skyrocketed the popularity of the Discord server and brought in thousands of members.
However, Seth knew Whop would help him manage his memberships and indicators on Tradingview seamlessly, so he joined the platform around the end of 2023. In a very short period, he’s already managed to amass 500+ five-star reviews on Whop – a clear sign the team offers excellent services.
Start Out With the Basics
As soon as you enter the Discord server, you should visit the “Start Here” section, where Seth describes the key members of the group. He’s also created several onboarding videos for new members describing key concepts of the Discord server.
Once you go through all the introductory channels, it’s best to find the dedicated sections for each Easy Algo indicator and complete its introductory training. This will help you get a head start on how these price action leading indicators work, and you can then participate in the live training sessions (more on them later) more easily.
First, there is the Trend X, a key level indicator that showcases where the market is ranging or trending through specific daily, weekly, and monthly pivots. It’s also a great way to determine whether a market is more bullish or bearish.
There’s also an automated scanner app called Scanner X, included in the Discord membership. This works in conjunction with Trend X to show the tokens with the best chance of making big moves every day, week, or month, depending on the pivot points you choose.
The Indicator X is the flagship leading indicator developed by Easy Algo, and it’s better suited to more advanced users. This means you’ll first need to familiarize yourself with simpler indicators, like the Trend X, before you move on to using it.
Indicator X essentially helps you decode the market’s randomness and trade according to the liquidity in the market. Since the market is mostly determined by big market makers who handle huge sums of money, it’s important to know when they will enter or exit the market so you don’t get trapped. Indicator X does exactly that and also utilizes things like trader beliefs and emotions by clearly showing you the pain-pleasure threshold levels on your chart.
Indicator X took more than three months to develop for a reason – it started out by trailing several price action indicators and is now a prominent leading indicator that helps you trade like the “smart money”.
There’s also the TDI X, a companion oscillator used with either the Trend X or Indicator X to help understand the market's flow. You can basically view the TDI X as an EMA, RSI, and Bollinger Band combined into one. The TDI displays the so-called “shark fins”, which are points where reversals or divergences usually occur.
The group also recently released a new indicator called Imbalance X, which also works as a companion to the group’s main indicators and is based on FVG trendlines. And you can always expect the team’s developers to constantly improve all current indicators and come up with new ones in the future.
During our chat with the community, we were informed about a little ongoing “rivalry” between the indicators. Indicator X and Trend X are essentially opposites, so there are two camps within the server: those who only use Indicator and those who only use Trend.
This also helped us understand that while Trend is a great option for newbie traders, many experienced members still use it instead of Indicator X. Hence, the rivalry between the two.
Master Trading Through Experienced Tutors
The Easy Algo community is a big proponent of properly educating all members, both on their premium indicators and general aspects of trading. The server prides itself on being structured and following specific strategies rather than chasing every new “memecoin”.
And the goal of their strategies is to cater to all ages and trading styles. They want members to implement their strategies and indicators into their own strategies and ideas instead of blindly following trades.
That’s why you’ll find a ton of learning material on the Discord server, including four live training sessions hosted by Pramod every week. Then there’s CryptoCrisp, who runs his own section for cryptocurrencies. He’s a high-level trader with his own process and tricks for finding the best trades, which actually don’t really align with the Easy Algo curriculum. That’s why you’re advised to follow his trades only if you’re an advanced and knowledgeable trader yourself.
Finally, we couldn’t possibly forget about the Easy Algo community, which includes thousands of aspiring traders looking to improve every day. Every member of the group is very friendly and helpful, and you can chat with them through the dedicated channels, as well as share your trading setups, charts, and winning results.
The Easy Algo Community
We actually got a chance to catch up with a few members and mentors from the Easy Algo community. All of them concluded that one of Easy Algo’s most important features is its structure and organization compared to similar communities that can feel chaotic. Another thing that makes Easy Algo stand out is how much they promote patience. One member said,
“One of the biggest things Easy Algo has taught me is patience. Just be patient, don’t let FOMO take over”.
Of course, the indicators bring in the most value, but structure and general psychology take second place.
Even with such a well-structured server, there are some caveats. Some of the newer members, who have little to no idea about trading or how Discord works, can feel overwhelmed at the beginning, and the Easy Algo team knows that. That’s why they’re doing their best to streamline the onboarding process for newcomers and ensure they fully understand what the server has to offer. And, of course, the team caters to all newbies by helping them understand all the fundamentals. Still, the server won’t be the best for complete beginners, but it’s a great option for novice traders who want to improve their trading skills.
